Use the online textbook to answer the questions on the quiz. I would advise making an answer document on a scratch sheet of paper before submitting your answer so you do not lose your work.

Test Resources

Here are my power points from class as well as some crash course videos which should help you understand Chapters 10 and 11.

Most of your study material for this section will be found in your own personal notes. Remember to read over 10.2, 10.3, and 10.4 Outlines. The Chapter 10 Powerpoint is the powerpoint which came with the book; therefore, its important to note that I did not create this powerpoint and some of the sentences might not flow as smoothly as expected.

Chapter 11
All of the essential content for this section has already been posted on the blog as homework assignments. Here are two Powerpoints and a Crash Course video.

Chapter 9 Powerpoint

I was unable to construct a study guide outline like I mentioned in class. Just read over the essential content and make sure you have a working knowledge of progressivism and many of the things which happened under the administrations of Roosevelt, Taft, and Wilson. Make sure you focus specifically on women's suffrage, The Jungle, Muckrakers, and the types of key legislation passed under each progressive president.

Here is the powerpoint you saw during the week in class. There is some important information on this powerpoint.

The Battle of Little Bighorn Video Resource

Here is a video that I found interesting about the Battle of Little Bighorn. You can find more specific information about The Sand Creek Massacre, The Battle of Little Bighorn, and The Battle of Wounded Knee in your own personal notes.

The Great Strike Video Resources

Below are links to YouTube videos that summarize each of the strikes that we talked about in class. Do not take notes on these videos. Watch these videos only to help you to better understand each of the strikes.

The Haymarket Riot of 1886
I apologize that this video is choppy and hard to understand initially, but it is a good video which will help you understand the outcome of the Haymarket Riot.
Also click this link for more information about The Haymarket Riot

The Homestead Strike of 1892
This is a GREAT video which completely summarizes the labor strike.

The Pullman Strike of 1894
This video briefly addresses the Pullman Strike. Hopefully this video will be more relevant to you because it addresses the Pullman Strike's influence on Labor Day! I figured this would be appropriate since we're quickly approaching Labor Day!!

Welcome

Welcome to the class blog! This blog is very important for you to succeed in this class. Here you will be able to view media, access quizzes, access documents, and much more. This blog will be used with a program called Remind101 which will allow me to send text message reminders to your cell phone; however, you will be unable to reply to these messages.  I will often remind you to access the latest blog post for the next class as well as remind you about upcoming tests and exams. I also plan to upload many resources on this blog which will ultimately benefit you! You will understand this better as the semester progresses. I can't express how excited I am about this semester, and I know that with hard work and determination you will be successful in this class!
